Susan Haire has had 20 plus solo shows, almost all of which have been installations often incorporating large scale works. She has collaborated with composers, poets and playwrights since 1997 and recitals and performances often take place in her exhibitions.

Haire has been working with New York composer Stephen Dydo since 2006 making collaborative installations. They have produced seven previous exhibitions including Watermusic at outLINE in Amsterdam in 2010 and riverrun which was displayed at both the Hammond Museum, North Salem NY in 2008 and the International Water House in The Hague in 2010.

In addition to her practice Susan Haire has been President of The London Group since 2007 and is actively overseeing the celebrations for the Group’s centenary year in 2013.

Reflection took place in 2012 in Peterborough Cathedral – an ambitious solo exhibition, in collaboration with Stephen Dydo, that ranged across the Cathedral with one work spanning the nave and another reaching 30m up to the top of the tower. The exhibition then toured to Western Connecticut State University, honouring a visit by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Indra’s Net at The Cello Factory, Waterloo, 2013, draws on work from Reflection and will also include new and other recent work. The title of the exhibition makes particular reference to the artists’ continuing examination of the interconnected and inter-dependent nature of all things as in Buddhist thinking.
